Purity Ring released from Forever 21 holding cell, pegged for Tulsa show at Cain’s Ballroom

I’d always assumed Purity Ring was chained up in some remote location, forced to provide a live soundtrack to your Forever 21 shopping experience (occasionally sub-contracted out to Urban Outfitters, of course). Luckily, that’s not the case … or they’ve at least been granted temporary release, as the duo is prepping to put out its new album Another Eternity on 4AD this March. It looks to be a good one, with two lead-in singles “Begin Again” and “Push Pull” standing just as strong as any of the material from their acclaimed 2012 debut Shrines.

Now they’ve announced a worldwide tour with a May 21 stop at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa carved into the itinerary. Forward-thinking electro pop artists like this don’t come through our dusty lil’ plain all that often, so make sure to grab your tickets when they go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday.
