People Still Buy Music, You Know: The week’s best-selling records (2/23-3/1)

What are your neighbors listening to? Oxford Karma decided to survey Oklahoma mainstay Guestroom Records about its top-sellers each week to figure out just that. Here’s what was flying off the shelves/out of the crates this week:

1. JD McPherson — Let the Good Times Roll
2. Led Zeppelin — Physical Graffiti
3. José Gonzalez — Vestiges & Claws
4. Dan Deacon — Glass Riffer
5. Father John Misty — I Love You, Honeybear
6. Phosphorescent — Live at the Music Hall
7. Neutral Milk Hotel — In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
8. Ibeyi — Ibeyi
9. Grooms — Comb the Feelings Through Your Hair
10. Aphex Twin — Caustic Window

Good golly gosh, it took a few weeks (and a Letterman appearance), but JD McPherson finally took the crown with his sophomore disc, Let the Good Times Roll. Meanwhile, the romance with two-time chart-topper Father John Misty finally cooled a bit, falling from No. 1 to No. 5.

The reissue of Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti landed the rock legends in the runner up slot, while new albums from singer-songwriter José Gonzalez and pop mad scientist Dan Deacon debut at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. The new live record by Athens indie folk-rocker Phosphorescent nabs a spot at No. 6, while the cold weather and snow days have seemingly reawakened Oklahoman’s love of a Neutral Milk Hotel classic. Holdovers Ibeyi, Grooms and Apex Twin round out the top 10.
