Lil B refuses to lift Based God Curse from Kevin Durant, spares James Harden

Feeling good about things, loyal Thunder devotee? Then you shouldn’t be reading our site today.

As many of you already know, Lil B — rapper, Based God, motivational speaker, and all around fascinating human — hates Kevin Durant. The two have a long and complicated history, beginning with a seemingly innocent tweet that caused B to cast the Based God Curse on the Thunder superstar, resulting in a season-ending injury, no championship ring, and a career seemingly destined for misfortune. If you call yourself an Oklahoma City Thunder fan, you want the curse lifted so that Durant can stay healthy and the boys can return to competing for championships. It’s just science.

As the rapper detailed earlier today on ESPN’s otherwise terrible SportsNation program, all Durant needs to do to make this happen and return the Thunder to glory is beat the rapper in a game of “21.” (This should be a no-brainer. Come on, KD!) Then and only then will the Based God spare Durant from the curse, as he recently did with former Thunder guard James Harden and Best Player in the World LeBron James. (Sorry, Maurice Speights. No such luck for you.)

Until that happens, all you can do is watch the following ESPN interview and shake your mortal fist in ire at Lil B’s uncompromising superhuman powers.
