Tallows announce new album, collab with Samantha Crain on first single

Welcome back, Tallows. Man-bunned frontman Josh Hogsett spent the better part of 2015 abroad, but the beloved OKC act’s creative juices appear to be as bountiful as ever, as the band announced its sophomore LP, titled Waist Deep, today via Crack in the Road.

The Memory Marrow followup drops Sept. 8 and features a collaboration with Samantha Crain (who’s about to release a record of her own) on first single “Sprawl” — a slow-burning and aptly titled ballad that builds toward an elegantly euphoric climax. It’s a stunner.

Tallows will don the Blue Note stage Sunday alongside Future Death and Sex Snobs, and I don’t know about you, but we’re giddy at the thought of a set chock-full of new material.

Listen to “Sprawl” and check out the Waist Deep tracklisting below.
