Ghostland Observatory, Glass Animals to dance their way into Cain’s Ballroom

It’s a solid day indeed for the “fuck it, let’s dance” demographic. Austin festival favorite Ghostland Observatory will come to Tulsa for a Cain’s Ballroom show on Friday, Oct. 30, just a day before Halloween. Glass Animals will sashay their way into town earlier that same month, announcing a Friday, Oct. 2 date.

Ghostland Observatory — who have been on hiatus the last couple of years — rose to power in the mid-2000s with their infectious, laser-heavy light show (despite consistently panned studio albums). Led by a frequently caped Aaron Behrens, the electro duo released its fourth LP, Codename: Rondo, in 2010.

Oxford (!)-product Glass Animals had a breakout hit with “Gooey,” off their 2014 debut album, Zaba. The English four-piece makes the Tulsa stop before heading down to Austin for Austin City Limits, because the dance-rock universe is interconnected like that.

Tickets for each show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26.
