Mondays are usually pretty big concert-announcement days, but today has been unusually prolific in the damn-that’s-a-big-get department.

Chief among them is Father John Misty, whose I Love You, Honeybear, is one of the best and most popular records released this year. After dropping an appropriately heart-shaped 12-inch single on Record Store Day, the golden-throated former Fleet Foxes drummer announced a Monday, Oct. 5 date at Tulsa’s Cain’s Ballroom, a venue that can’t seem to stop booking stellar acts. A limited number of presale tickets will be available noon Wednesday (password: honeybear) and the rest of those bad boys go on sale to the general public at the same time Friday.

Rewind the clock a good 15 years or so for this next billing: Third Eye Blind and Dashboard Confessional. The emotionally charged, alt-rock-radio pairing comes through OKC’s Zoo Amphitheatre Tuesday, July 7. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday through Protix. Or, if you prefer to buy them as you would have in 1999, you can pick them up at Buy for Less or Reasor’s.

Rewind the clock another 15 years or so, as Huey Lewis and the News ride into Tulsa’s Brady Theater on Friday, June 5. Tickets to see the seminal ’80s rockers who reminded us of “The Power of Love” also go on sale 10 a.m. Friday through Protix. Or, if you prefer to buy them as you would have in 1985, you can pick them up at Buy for Less or Reasor’s.
