Artists Kristen Vails, Scott Henderson top Shop Hop stops

Shop Hop on Automobile Alley — the third Thursday celebration of that buzzing strip just north of the heart of Downtown Oklahoma City — is back tonight, March 19, with the usual art, music, fun, restaurant deals and shop promotions planned. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m.

Artists Kristen Vails and Scott Henderson are presenting new works at Verbode. Vails is the Plaza District Executive Director turned Director of Community Outreach at Fowler Auto Group who has long moonlighted as a talented artist, especially drawn to the subject matter of horses and all things equine. Henderson is similarly enamored with nature in his work — not a surprise given his role as Director of Satellite Galleries at Science Museum Oklahoma.  It’s a well-suited pairing, arranged in part by Istvan Gallery.
